"Are you certain about this Sadatto?" Asked Kyo in disbelief.

"Yes. It was confirmed not too long ago. About a week in fact. Ugatta Kai has turned rogue." He said solemnly. "The Hokage wants you to handle this personally."

Kyo leaned on the wall to the Chuunin common room while staring at the floor. Ugatta Kai was like a brother to him. He knew him since they were both little. Now he has been ordered to bring him in for his crimes. Kyo's resolve about maintaining law and order wavered slightly. His loyalty to Konoha came first in his life but this was Kai; his brother. The only difference was that they were not of blood.

"Let me see the document again please." Asked Kyo as Sadotto handed him the file with a single sheet of paper inside it and some pictures. He again looked at the report.

There were pictures of four bodies. Each of the victims died the same way; with the inside of their mouths charred and burnt. The eye sockets got the same treatment. From their torso, were large earthen spikes that impaled them through and through. He knew this jutsu well. It was then and there, Kyo knew without a doubt it was indeed Ugatta Kai that caused this.

"Ugatta Kai is indeed the one that did this." He said sadly as he handed Sadotto the fils. "Tell the Hokage consider this done."

Hibiya relaxed up on a tree in the forest, unaware of any missions around nor was he summoned by anyone to do anything. It was just him peacefully enjoying nature, the air felt much cleaner and natural songs rang from the beaka of elegant bluebirds. Ironic that these lands are deemed fire, for it felt as close to nature as it could be. Placing his palms against the tree branch he was on, he looked downwards to help the people who traveled by on the road, all sorts of people looking to enter and exit the village. It was fun to have a bit of use despite it being his free time.

Nothing of murder has been told to the Ayano, who is blissfully unaware of the fact. It's been a while since the previous massacre in the Nishizaka forest, so the idea of murder didn't seem to likely to him. So today was going to be when that changed, as Hibiya continued to look down and address the people below. A smile formed as he noticed that they were all so familiar since they were going off on missions, meaning they were all in his village. How lovely.

"You are not to go alone on this one. You will be entering the stone country. That was where he was last seen." Said Sadotto calmly as the large man put on his coat. "I'm busy so you're gonna have to get someone else Kyo."

"Its alright. There is only one person I trust outside my family besides you. Send for Hibiya of the Ayano clan." Replied Kyo.

Sadotto was an excellent tracker. He eventually found the Ayano up in a tree not too far from his and Kyo's meeting point. Sadotto appeared attached to the trunk of the tree with his chakra at the bottom of his feet with his hands in his pockets.

"Hibiya san...Kyo wanted to see you about a mission. If you're interested check him by the clearing in the 5th quadrant."

With that, Sadotto flickered away and went on his own business. Meanwhile Kyo sat on the forest floor in the middle of the clearing with his eyes closed. He was meditating; trying to condition his mind to treat his friend as he would an enemy. He would try his best to forget the good times and just go through with it. What would he say to Kai? How would he deal with his betrayal? He knew he had to ask him why had he done it in the first place. Come on Kyo concentrate until Hibiya gets here hopefully.

Hibiya flicked his pointer finger and middle finger clenched together to the side with a smile on his face when told he was needed for a mission, falling from the top of the tree and using all his strength to land successfully on his hands. Once he bended his elbows, he would move his back and on his legs without a word emitted from his lips before flickering away to the 5th quadrant. Seems like there was going to be some activity for him today.

Eventually, Hibiya would meet up with Kyo and greeted him with the wave of an ope-palmed right hand. “Yooooo, what it up?” Hibiya would ask casually, a smile on his face as he remembered their last encounter when a psychotic blonde girl tried to murder the both of them. Admittedly, he made himself seem way stronger than he actually was, causing him to nearly die during the mass genocide of the Nishizaka clan. Morbid news aside, he would tilt his head to the side and place both hands behind his back and would ask him about the mission. “All right, so what’s this amount a mission I hear? Need any help with it?”

Kyo returned the friendly gesture from Hibiya by offering up his hand and smacked Hibiya's open palm with his own in a high five. Kyo smiled genuinely when he saw his good friend. Now this mission was going to be a breeze since now they were both here. Hibiya defeated a foe that he had already given up on and saved his life. So now Kyo's life belonged to him.

"Good to see ya! And yea this one is pretty ticklish." Said Kyo cheerfully. But deep down Kyo was in sadness and it had been a while since he had been like this.

It was like this because he constantly wondered if the price Konoha was asking him to pay to complete this mission if he was willing to pay. He was no liar and he trusted Hibiya with his life without doubt so he thought it would be best if he should just be open to Hibiya. They were friends but Kyo still hoped that the Ayano would understand. But first things first, as Kyo handed the blonde the small scroll that held the mission details for him to read himself and would wait for his reaction when he saw it was a shinobi from Konoha they were going after.

Hibiya accepted the high five by smacking Kyo's hand as well, lovely to know they had that mutual agreement on them. He then handed Hibiya a small white scroll for him to read up, most likely the details on what they were to be doing today. "All right, seems like we're going to be catching ourselves... Nothing. The guy needs to be eliminated, and I think I've lost all sensitization towards that sort of thing." The Ayano explained with his head tilting to the side afterwards. Afterwards, he would add another comment about it. "And to think we had something in Konoha, you know? But if we save innocent's by taking out this one life, then we're going to be the ones to do it."

He didn't have much a thought on dealing with traitors other than they needed to pay the prices for their crimes, he believed full well in justice and wanted to be the one to serve it. Of course, torture wasn't anywhere on the list, but killing wasn't beyond him. With Kyo as well, it wasn't going to serve to be a hard task either. "Well, where should we start?"

As expected of a true soldier of Konoha, Hibiya had no issue punishing a traitor. Usually Kyo would be the activist in this one. He was biased indeed and this feeling irked him to the fullest.

"Hibiya...I know the target." Muttered Kyo, just loud enough for him to hear. "He's like my brother."

Kyo of himself could not believe that he said that. Hyuga Kyo was known for his mercilessness when it came to a traitor. But maybe no traitor he was ever sent to execute was so close to him. That was why he felt nothing inside for his other targets.

"Tell me Hibiya. Tell me how to kill him. I need you to strengthen my resolve my friend." Asked Kyo as he clearly was in a distressed state.

Meanwhile...

A dark figure wandered on back into a rock formation that bordered a clearing in the rock field. The people who he killed are those he has a likeness for. Ugatta Kai had again slain three other people with his fire style techniques. The reports said by the time people came to help, they were already dead. All of their chakra had been sucked out from them entirely. A new ability Ugatta learned since he left the village. He was skinny and tall with flowing black hair and his entire body was wrapped in bandage. Hung upon his skinny frame hung a tattered and old sea cloak. Strapped to his back was a single katana and he had no shoes. His goal; cause as much chaos as possible but first he must feed to defend himself against whoever it was the authorities sent to kill or capture him. He wi kill his own mother if she came after him. Any who stood against him would burn.

Hmmm, Hibiya didn't have to kill Yori when she was in a similar state to Kyo's friend, so this was a tough one for him to answer. This was a mission that demanded there be a death, so it wasn't like he could avoid this with being a pacifist either. "Well, this is perhaps a cruel answer... But you have to acknowledge the fact that they won't acknowledge you as a friend." The blonde explained casually, as if they were tlaking about getting a bowl of ramen from the shop. "But... If you want me to, I'll be the one to take him down. I can go solo on this since he was never my friend. I wouldn't want to raise a chakra blade at anyone I could consider my brother."

If it came down to her, he would rather sacrifice himself rather than have Yori be killed by his own hands, so the Ayano understood what Kyo could be going through. "It's tough, I get it. But if this doesn't get done, how long will you wait until he tries to come for either of us?" If either of them were to be wiped from the face of the earth, how would the other react? At this point, Hibiya didn't quite understand values in morals right now considering the Nishizaka genocide he witnessed.

Hibiya was right. He knew Ugatta Kai and how he was. From the moment he found out that Kyo had come to hunt him, he would come at Kyo with everything he has. It was clear that he had always underestimated Kyo. Ugatta Kai he knew had changed from when they were kids. He saw him once while he was on a mission. He had some strange abilities but one he remembered was chakra absorption. He absorbed chakra from Kyo's jutsu and then Kyo himself; he had failed that mission. He had awoken from unconsciousness and the money he was escorting was gone. Who knows what other abilities Kai learned over the last two years?

He pondered on Hibiya's suggestion to take it on by himself but Kai was so cunning, there was no way to prepare for him. Knowing him he may have had some sort of back up or trap laying in wait for them. But Kyo was of the Hyuga clan. Was he underrating himself. Did he not get twice as more powerful since he encountered Kai? Was not Hibiya with him as well? Then there really was no contingency to best both shinobi. Kai and what army stood between them and the infamous Ugatta Kai?

"You fight him. I can't picture my hands covered with his blood. I will fend off whoever else is with him indeed." Said Kyo agreeing with Hibiya. "Now we go to the Stone Country."

"Hahaha. I hope for Kyo's sake he brought an army to come for me." Snarled Kai as he gazed into the mage's chrystal ball. "Who is the blonde weaner with him? Looks like he wants to die with Kyo." Continued Kyo as he spoke to the mage.

"It matters not lord Kai who he brings against us. Whoever he is, he too will burn."

"Sounds like we have a plan then. Don't worry, I'll carry you through this with no problem." Hibiya replied as he would then place his hands in his pockets and walk forward. Weird, he didn't usually take murder so lightly, but what was one death for good compared to a genocide meant for evil? If he was helping out someone that was deemed good in his eyes, what should the problem be? It would perhaps be the second time Hibiya helped him out with anything as well, the first time being with that unfortunate little Fuya girl. To this day, he felt as if he was just lucky when he outsmarted her and caused as much severe damage as he did onto her.

He had no sensory for audio away from his current location, meaning that he couldn't catch up on any of the talk going on in the background where they were being watched. That mattered little to him if he did hear it or not, the game was all about strategy in order to conquer an opponent. At this point, he's hit near peak with his weaponry and his techniques, now they just need to set off.
